I really like the math behind [structural engineering].
I love inorganic chemistry, especially the colors of inor
ganic salts.
I like how broad our department is. I know of 15 people i
n our department who are going on to do 15 different things.
It’s really cool to share your ideas and learn a lot of
things from others.
I want to be a problem solver and improve living conditio
ns for people.
[I'm now] passionate about environmental engineering
.
I like being a role model for my residents.
I found where my passions were freshman year and I’ve s
tuck with them.
You never get bored. You’re always learning new stuff.
We wanted to be like our father.
I feel comfortable being [at UMD]. That’s why I came ba
ck to work here.
[I was drawn to CEE because] it still used physics but wa
s really hands-on.
