Project presentation by the students in ENCE 301 class
Students in Dr. Glenn Moglen's class, ENCE 301 - Geo-metrics and GIS in Civil Engineering, are completing their semester group projects this week. Each group takes on a different project ranging from studying travel time impacts of the Inter-County Connector (ICC), to estimating rainfall across the state of Maryland, to optimally placing salt/sand facilities in Prince Georges County, to merging GIS and GPS technology, to studying whether Hurricanes in Florida selectively hit Republican voting counties from the 2000 national election. The links below provide detailed information about each groups' efforts.
- Group 1: Problem 6, Stream Buffers and Land Use Distributions
- Group 2: Problem 11, Hurricanes and Voting Patterns in Florida
- Group 3: Problem 8, Sampling of the ICC's Effect on Travel Times
- Group 4: Problem 4, Optimal Locations of Salt/Sand Facilities in Prince Georges County
- Group 5: Problem 2, Digitizing Future Land Use
- Group 6: Problem 10, Merging GPS and GIS technologies
- Group 7: Problem 5,Developing a Land Use Change Matrix
- Group 8: Problem 9, Population Served by the Red Line of the DC Metro
- Group 9: Problem 7, Spatial Interpolation of Rainfall Across Maryland
